Welthungerhilfe is one of the largest non-governmental aid organisations in Germany. Welthungerhilfe has supported some 5,500 projects in over 70 countries with 1.9 billion Euro since its foundation in 1962 enabling people in developing countries to take control of their own lives now and in the future. The activities with a focus on food security and poverty reduction in rural areas range from rapid response to disasters through reconstruction to longterm development projects.
