Tearfund

Tearfund Deutschland e.V. is a Christian organisation for development cooperation and development-oriented emergency aid with an office in Berlin. The association was founded in 1998 as PartnerAid and worked from 2014 to 2019 under the name World Relief. Since October 2019 it has been part of the Tearfund family as an independent organisation, with partner organisations from ten other countries. Tearfund Germany focuses on the countries of the Near and Middle East and the Horn of Africa.
Charity, unlimited is the motto of our work. By charity we mean selflessly helping people in need: Refugees, internally displaced persons, people without access to safe water, sanitation and health care, children with insufficient development opportunities, etc... We are also active in peacebuilding and conflict resolution. Our projects are coordinated by our local staff and carried out jointly with the local population and local partner organisations. In this way, we create space for encounters and dialogue so that people of different origins and worldviews can work together to bring about change.
