Oxfam is an international non-profit organization with the vision of a just and sustainable world without poverty. Oxfam works side by side with local partner organizations in more than 80 countries to fight extreme poverty and social inequality. With almost 8 million people reached every year, drinking water, sanitation and hygiene are a focus of our work. In addition to humanitarian aid, Oxfam supports people in building their livelihoods and enforcing their basic rights. Particular attention is paid to the situation of women. In addition, Oxfam uses campaigns, lobbying and public actions to work towards a fairer, more equitable world. The 55 German Oxfam shops contribute to this work. Oxfam Germany exists since 1995.
