World Vision is a Christian relief, development and advocacy organisation dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. Motivated by Christian faith, World Vision serves all people, regardless of their religion, ethnicity or gender. World Vision Germany was founded in 1979 and, in fiscal year 2010, supported 248 projects in 47 countries. Currently, through child sponsorship, more than 150,000 donors are supporting long-term Area Development Programmes which support sustainable development for children, families and communities.
