Action Medeor

For 40 years the German Medical Aid Organisation action medeor provides essential medicines and basic medical equipment to the poverty-stricken regions of the world and provides rapid emergency aid and disaster relief in acute situations. Apart from the procurement of medicines, action medeor is active in two additional areas: pharmaceutical expertise, the setting up of local medicine-production plants and distribution points and the implementation of health care projects in co-operation with local organisations. The main mission of projects funded by medeor is the improvement of the health and sanitation situation of poor people, above all in rural areas, the construction and functioning of basic health services and the fight against the three global diseases HIV/Aids, Malaria and Tuberculosis.
