Seminar: Disability-inclusive Infrastructure Design

CBM and Handicap International will host the two-day seminar “Disability-inclusive Infrastructure Design in Humanitarian Action in WASH, Shelter und Camp Facility Design” on 23 and 24 April in Berlin.

For whom?

The seminar is primarily aimed at humanitarian workers, project managers/ coordinators and deskofficers with experience in WASH, Shelter and/or Camp Design programming of German humanitarian organizations.

Content

The training will address the question how to actively include persons with disabilities in infrastructure related programming and how to assess, plan, implement and monitor disability-inclusive infrastructure design. Participants will gain essential knowledge on and get familiar with tools and technical skills to plan and implement disability-inclusive WASH, Shelter and Camp facilities designs.

Language and previous knowledge

The seminar will be facilitated in English by experienced technical experts and humanitarian field workers, hence adequate language skills are essential.

Costs

There are no costs for the participation in the seminar except of your potential accommodation and travel expenses.
